St. James is a parish church in the Anglican Diocese of Liverpool. We serve an urban parish in the West of Warrington. As well as regular worship, including blossoming children's groups, we pride ourselves on our fellowship and regular social events. Why not have a look around and see what we do. We would always be glad to see you at worship, or one of our other events. Our vicar is Rev Martin Thorpe and he can be contacted by e-mail vicar@stjameschurch.info
Warrington is a rapidly growing town in the North West of England and our parish covers the areas of Great Sankey, Hood Manor, Westbrook, Old Hall and the new 'urban village' development of Chapelford.
Rev Dr Sarah Baker is a licensed Pioneer Minister for Chapelford. You can read more about this ecumenical ministry on the Diocese website.
We have close links with our primary school, Sankey Valley St James CE Primary, as well as other schools in the area.
We are a Fairtrade church, committed to using fairly traded tea and coffee. We have a Fairtrade stall on the last Sunday of each month. For more information click here.
